Unique and First Heart Hospital in Tanzania

In keeping pace with our mission to reduce the devastating toll of cardiovascular diseases we are pleased to provide the best cardiovascular services for all people from different countries. Also, our program in researching and educating people about symptoms, control measures and creation of public awareness of cardiovascular diseases threat is our major aim.

At the institute a patient is the most important visitor; he is not dependent on us, we are dependent on him; he is not an interruption on our works, he is the purpose of it: he is not an outsider, he is a part of our institute; we are not doing him a favor by treating him, he is doing us a favor by giving us an opportunity to do so.

Overall diagnosis as well as surgery of heart related disease are our targets, especially to poor people. However, this can work effectively with government support and assistance. Despite our continuing efforts to fight the threat of heart diseases, from all our lives, the institute has been facing problems such as lack of permanent premises to house the hospital and research activities. Also, the institute faces financial constraints due to the fact that heart surgery is expensive such that most of patients can not afford it, hence die unattended.

Therefore, our plan is to establish collaboration with other interested parties at national and international level in developing programs aiming at: Securing a permanent premises, offering charity treatment to poor children and adults with heart diseases, conduct training programs for professionals on early diagnosis of heart diseases in children, creating public awareness on the importance of controlling and treating of cardiovascular diseases and their associated risk factors, research on epidemiological pattern of cardiovascular diseases and their associated risk factors, training of personnels in various specialization such as cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, cardiovascular anesthesiologists, perfusionists, ICU and theatre nurses, etc.
